ROCfest: The Next Generation

The UK's most anticipated climbing festival is back on June 4th 2022 and it's open to everyone. It will be a one-day spectacular event held at Rock Over Climbing in Manchester City Centre from 10am, with registration opening from 8am.

This is the most ambitious competition the UK has ever seen, with 100 problems to climb, 6 hours to compete and a truly unique scoring system to bring it all together. The problems will be set in difficulty order, with more points available on the harder climbs. Only your top 20 scores will count towards your total, allowing everyone to climb alongside the very best athletes in the world.

We'll be working with a huge 32 individual categories, which includes all youth ages as well as each individual paraclimbing category. All categories will receieve a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash prize but only the top 6 in the Open category will have a chance to go through to the Grand Finals.

But it's not all about the points! We'll be holding several different challenges across the day as well as hosting representatives from brands that we've partnered with over the years. We'll also have a BBQ going and will be hosting the grand finals in the Hub on the evening of the event, you’ll even get a free ROCfest t-shirt with every ticket!

The best setters in the UK will be here to make the competition truly spectacular, prepare for some sensational problems set by Max Ayrton, Jamie Cassidy, Alex Fry, Dave Barrans and many more. There will also be a number of off-piste problems mixed in with the regular comp problems, now is the time to show off your crack climbing skills!

The last ROCfest we held was in 2015, see how many world class climbers you can spot!
