Pet Policy
Effective Date: May 2026
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to allow pets in the centre while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all customers and staff.
This policy applies to all Rock Over Climbing Centres.
Permitted Pets
Only well-behaved, domesticated pets are permitted in the centres.
Currently, this policy applies only to dogs. All other animals including cats are not permitted.
We reserve the right to refuse any pet if it may pose a risk or disruption, and if another customer experiences discomfort due to the pet (such as allergies) the owner will be required to take them out of the centre.
Owner Responsibilities
Customers bringing dogs into the centre are fully responsible for their care and behaviour.
Dog owners must:
-
Keep dogs under control at all times.
-
Ensure dogs are clean, groomed, and free of fleas or parasites.
-
Ensure that dogs are fit and well and if they become unwell during their time at the centre, they are removed accordingly.
-
Clean up immediately after any accidents.
-
Ensure dogs do not disturb customers with barking, jumping, or wandering.
-
Respect that not all people that the pet may come into contact with, will share the same endorsement or emotions and it should be assumed that contact by the dog is not welcomed unless otherwise stipulated by them.
-
Ensure dogs do not go onto the mats at any time.
-
Ensure that pets are leashed securely off the mats while the owner is climbing.
If you have any questions or concerns about anything stated in the above policy, please email jaric@rockoverclimbing.com
And if you do have an allergy or an aversion to dogs that would prevent you from coming into the centre, please call the centre before your visit and we can ask them to leave before you arrive.
